Our club was formed in Pictou County and register with the Registry of Joint Stock Companies in 1995   This was done by a group of people from the local area, who saw a need for an organized ATV group. This dream led to the formation of the Provincial Body of the All Terrain Vehicle Association of Nova Scotia, ATVANS which now has 40 clubs in number with over 2600 members from all over Nova Scotia.

Our club is here to serve ATV riders in the Pictou County and Surrounding area. Over the years we have   taken other ATVers on tours throughout the county, educated riders on the rules of ATVing, worked with local businesses and community groups to better develop trails and to work in conjection with other trail groups to overcome trail woes.

The Pictou County ATV Club meets in March, April, May, June, September, October & November 7:30pm at the New Glasgow Legion. All are welcome to attend our meetings. Come and visit us at our meetings and see what we are doing.

You can join the Pictou County ATV Club by coming to our meetings, or by downloading our form of our web page at www.pictoucountyatvclub.com and mailing it in.

We run and maintain a web site. The Club owns and maintains a building that houses a Off Highway Rescue Unit . We are working on GPSing the trails to put together a map of the area. We hold a Christmas Dinner and Social in December

We believe everyone deserves an opportunity to ride the trails in Pictou County.  If you see a problem or potential hazard on any trail in the area please let us know.

ATVing is a relatively new sport and one that not everyone understands or agrees with, we are here to educate and work with the community to make our trails and our sport a joyous experience for everyone, and make your ATVing experience in Pictou County one you will always remember.

During 2008, club members began cutting brush on the abandon rail bed from Eureka to Sunny Brae as to assess the trail as part of the East River Valley Shared Use Trail Project.   Also club members are working on part of the abandon   rail bed from Willowdale to the Guysborough County line as to assess the trail.
